Battery Disposal Information
In connection with the sale of batteries or devices containing batteries, we are legally required to inform you of the following:

As an end user, you are obligated to return used batteries.

You may return any waste batteries (that we currently sell or have sold) free of charge to our shipping warehouse at the address listed in our imprint.

The symbols on batteries have these meanings:

Crossed-out wheeled bin symbol

Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.

Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by weight

Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by weight

Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by weight

Special Regulations for Starter (Vehicle) Batteries

When you purchase a vehicle starter battery, we are required by law (§ 10 BattG) to charge a €7.50 deposit (including VAT) if you do not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchase. This deposit is shown separately in your order and is not included in the product price.

If you do return an old vehicle battery that we currently sell or have sold (§ 9 BattG), we will accept it free of charge and refund the full €7.50 deposit.

If we issue a deposit token (Pfandmarke) under § 10 (1) sentence 3 BattG, refund of the deposit is conditional on returning that token.

Important: You may not return batteries by post due to hazardous‐goods regulations.

Alternatively, you can return vehicle batteries free of charge at municipal recycling or collection centers. These centers will not refund the deposit themselves, but they can stamp your deposit token. Simply bring that stamped token back to us, and we will refund your €7.50 deposit.
