The drip coffee maker with thermos jug allows you to easily and quickly prepare drip coffee. What is the correct amount of drip coffee We recommend 60-70g of coffee grounds for one liter of drip coffee. Therefore, you need approximately 75 to 88g for a full jug of Moccamaster drip coffee, depending on the strength. Why is brewing temperature and brewing time so important At the right temperature, the substances in the coffee grounds are optimally dissolved, and with the necessary time, the brewed coffee develops its full aroma. A delicious coffee flavor is created.

Moccamaster KBG Select, the coffee machine for small and large amounts

The new Moccamaster KBG Select for 10 cups and also for small amounts of 4 cups. Thanks to the new selection switch, you can easily choose between a full or half jug. With a half jug, the coffee flows more slowly. The result is an aromatic cup of coffee with full flavor, regardless of the number of cups. Thus, the Moccamaster KBG Select is the perfect coffee machine for both large and small quantities.

Very economical with electricity

The 1450-watt copper heating element of the Moccamaster Select switches off as soon as the water container is empty. The light in the right switch then goes out.

The position of the right switch has no effect on this. From then on, the machine only consumes 25-70 watts of power through the intelligent warming plate, which automatically adjusts the heat to the amount of coffee in the jug. This means that your coffee will never be too hot or too bitter.

Why is brewing temperature and brewing time so important
At a temperature of 92 - 96 °C, the solids are dissolved, and the right taste and best aroma are extracted. This results in a good balance between sourness and bitterness.

Why is the temperature after brewing so important
The coffee tastes best at a temperature between 80 - 85 °C. The coffee should not be heated further after brewing, as this develops undesirable flavors. The coffee should not be kept warm for more than an hour after brewing.

What is the correct amount of coffee
In a Moccamaster measuring cup (included), 12 grams of coffee grounds fit (for 2 cups). For a full jug, we recommend 60-75 grams.
