Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Dry Food for a Healthy Digestion in Your Cat

Royal Canin Gastrointestinal is a balanced and nutrient-rich formula specifically designed to ensure healthy digestion in cats with gastrointestinal issues.

Product Benefits of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Dry Food for Cats:

  • Healthy Digestion
This easily digestible formula contains a balanced mix of insoluble and soluble fibers, including prebiotics, that promote healthy digestion and intestinal health.

  • High Energy Content
This food has a high energy content and can therefore be fed in smaller amounts. Your cat's digestive tract will be relieved.

  • High Palatability
The food with an especially tasty formula has been specifically developed to encourage food intake in cats with reduced appetite.

  • S/O Index
This food also creates a urinary environment that makes it difficult for struvite and calcium oxalate stones to form.

Important Note
Therefore, it is important that the food is only fed on the recommendation of a veterinarian. This ensures that your pet receives exactly the nutrition it really needs. A change of diet should be made carefully and gradually over a period of 7-10 days. Pay attention to the correct portion size, especially in mixed feeding.

Mixed Feeding Possible
To accommodate the individual preferences of all cats, Royal Canin Gastrointestinal is also available as wet food with fine pieces in gravy. Mixed feeding provides different consistencies to the food, which can stimulate appetite. Wet food has a more intense aroma and its moisture content helps to regulate the animal€™s hydration. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to ingest and is good for the teeth.

Indications:

  • Dysbiosis
  • Rehabilitation
  • Colitis
  • Anorexia
  • Liver diseases (except hepatic encephalopathy)
  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
  • Gastritis
  • Maldigestion, Malabsorption
  • Chronic and acute diarrhea

Contraindications: Hepatic encephalopathy, pancreatitis, lymphangiectasia - exudative enteropathy.

Treatment Duration:
In cases of acute illness, regeneration of the intestinal villi requires a dietary treatment for at least three weeks. In cases of chronic forms, lifelong continued treatment may be necessary. Cats that tend to gain weight should be switched to GASTRO INTESTINAL MODERATE CALORIE for long-term feeding. To optimize digestive function, the daily ration should be divided into multiple meals.

Product Benefits:

1. High Digestive Safety:
Highly digestible proteins reduce intestinal fermentation processes. Fermentable fibers (FOS) support a balanced gut flora.

2. High Energy Content:
The high energy density allows feeding smaller meals and leads to relief of the intestines.

3. High Acceptance:
Cats with digestive disorders often suffer from decreased appetite and weight loss. A high palatability promotes spontaneous food intake and thus recovery.

4. EPA/DHA:
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain fatty acids of the Omega-3 type. These can help support gut health.

Further Information:
Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) stimulate the local immune system of the gut (Ig A) and help neutralize pathogenic bacteria.

Composition: Poultry protein (dried)**, rice**, animal fat**, wheat gluten meal**, lignocellulose, corn gluten meal**, poultry liver (hydrolyzed), minerals, egg (dried)**, beet pulp, fish meal**, soy**, yeast products, psyllium (seeds and their husks, source of soluble fibers), fructo-oligosaccharides (0.48%), yeast hydrolysate (source for mannan-oligosaccharides; 0.19%), marigold flower meal (source of lutein).
