Noctua NH-L12S

As the successor to the award-winning NH-L12 low-profile cooler, the compact NH-L12S combines excellent compatibility, outstanding efficiency, and remarkable flexibility. Thanks to the slim NF-A12x15 PWM 120mm fan, the NH-L12S achieves even better silent cooling performance than its predecessor with its 92mm fan. At the same time, the NH-L12S is highly flexible: If the fan is mounted above the cooling fins, the cooler supports RAM modules with a height of up to 45mm. If the fan is mounted below, the total height is only 70mm, allowing the cooler to fit in many HTPC and small form factor cases.
The NH-L12S is a compact, quiet low-profile cooler designed for use in small cases and HTPC environments. The cooler has an excellent cooling performance in its class but is not suitable for overclocking and should be used with caution on processors with more than 95W TDP (Thermal Design Power). Please consult our TDP guidelines to check if the NH-L12S is suitable for your CPU.

The S version equipped with the new NF-A12x15 fan offers even more flexibility and better performance in low-profile mode.

Low-Profile Mode
If the NF-A12x15 fan is mounted under the cooling fins, the height of the NH-L12S is only 70mm. The fan can be mounted blowing upwards or downwards depending on airflow within the case.

High-Clearance Mode
If the NF-A12x15 is mounted on top, the NH-L12S provides enough clearance below the cooling fins for large chipset coolers or memory modules with heat spreaders up to 45mm in height.

NF-A12x15 Slim-120mm Premium Fan
The NF-A12x15 is a slim 120mm premium fan that utilizes advanced aerodynamic design measures such as flow acceleration channels. Due to the excellent aerodynamic efficiency of the NF-A12x15, the NH-L12S can achieve an even higher performance level than the predecessor with its 92mm fan.

PWM Support and Low-Noise Adapter
The NF-A12x15 fan of the NH-L12S supports PWM for convenient, fully automatic speed control via the motherboard.

Support for 120x25mm Fans
With the fan clips of the NH-L12S, not only the included NF-A12x15 but also 25mm thick 120mm fans can be mounted. Users with sufficient space in their cases can further increase the cooling performance by installing a 120x25mm fan instead of the NF-A12x15 above the cooling fins (increases the total height to 95mm).

SecuFirm2 Mounting System
Noctua's SecuFirm2 mounting systems have become synonymous with quality, reliability, and user-friendliness. The SecuFirm2 system of the NH-L12S supports Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA2011 (LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3), LGA2066, and AMD (AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4, FM1, FM2, FM2+) and provides perfect contact pressure and maximum mounting comfort on all current sockets.

Compatibility with Older and Future Sockets
The NH-C14S conforms to the open SecuFirm standard and can be made compatible with the optional NM-I3 mounting set available from Noctua for the older sockets LGA1366 and LGA775. As far as technically possible, Noctua will also offer upgrade sets for future sockets.

NT-H1 Thermal Paste
Noctua's renowned NT-H1 is a professional TIM solution that combines minimal thermal resistance with excellent application comfort and outstanding reliability. As a popular choice among overclockers and enthusiasts around the globe, NT-H1 has become an established standard for premium thermal pastes.
